Participation

There are many ways to participate in worship at Incarnation. For more information about any of these ministries, please contact our parish office.

Servers (acolytes, torch bearers, crucifers, chalice servers) assist in all the liturgical aspects of the Eucharist.  They carry crosses and torches, and serve at the altar, assisting the priests in the rituals of worship.

Lectors read the first and second readings from the Bible at Sunday services and at special liturgies.

Ushers are the first people visitors to the church usually meet. They greet and welcome people arriving for worship and give our visitors their first impressions of Incarnation. Ushers distribute leaflets, record attendance, and collect the offering.

Altar Guild members are those in the parish whose ministry is to care for the altar, vestments, vessels, and altar linens of the parish. Altar Guild members prepare the sanctuary for services, and clean up afterwards.

The Flower Guild brings beauty into the sanctuary as an offering of joy, memory, and praise. With artistry and devotion, members arrange flowers that reflect the liturgical seasons and enhance the visual language of worship. These offerings often honor loved ones or mark special occasions, reminding us that beauty itself can be a form of prayer.
