Our Partnership with Haiti

For more than three decades, the Church of the Incarnation has maintained a deep and enduring relationship with the people of Haiti. Rooted in friendship and mutual care, this ministry has shaped our parish’s understanding of mission as something shared—not done for others, but with others.

Our closest and most sustained connection is with the Church of the Transfiguration and School in Tiéré Mascadi, a rural village in the mountains of Haiti. This small but vibrant congregation offers not only worship and Christian formation, but also education, daily meals for children, and basic medical support.

Through the generosity of Incarnation’s members and friends, we have helped support:

  • Teacher salaries and classroom supplies

  • Feeding programs that provide a vital daily meal for students

  • Repairs and improvements to school and church buildings

  • Medical assistance and maternal care through local clinics

Our partnership with Tiéré Mascadi reflects the core of our mission: to walk alongside our Haitian sisters and brothers as companions in faith, bound together by a shared hope in the Gospel.

Over the years, members of Incarnation have traveled to Haiti—not simply to “help,” but to learn, pray, and build lasting relationships. These visits are opportunities to experience the hospitality, joy, and resilience of the Haitian people. They remind us that God is at work far beyond the borders of Highlands, and that we are all members of one body.
