Meeting Jesus in the Gospel of John invites participants on a six week journey into deeper intimacy with God by praying with the words of John the Evangelist and his community in the Gospel According to John and in the First Letter of John. These two texts describe how God, out of deep love, sends Jesus into the world, to take on human form and live among us.  By learning from Jesus, we will discover God as One who longs for deep intimacy with each of us. We will deepen our understanding of God who is our companion, friend and confidant, our beloved, and not our judge, a disapproving parent, a policeman or a taskmaster.

There are two ways to participate in this series. You can sign up to receive the daily short video from the Society of St. John the Evangelist, the sponsors of this program, and use the beautiful journal to meditate on the daily verse as an individual practice.  Or  you can join the Spiritual Seekers Class which meets in the library beginning February 25th  to review and discuss the readings from the prior week with your fellow parishioners. Whether you decide to do this as a private Lenten journey or join the Sunday School Class, you will need to sign up for the daily videos which are sent to your email address by going to meetingjesusinjohn.org. If you would like the accompanying journal, please email Linda Arnold at arnold.linda23@gmail.com and she will order one for you.
